It was a great pleasure to talk with Dr. Tim Cook about the World Wars from a Canadian Historian.
Dr. Cook’s experiences during his career as a historian are fascinating, and he also discussed many aspects of his jobs both at the Library and Archives Canada, as well as the Canadian War Museum.
As he mentioned in the podcast, he is an academic historian, a public historian, and a popular historian. This has given him insights into various aspects of the Canadian Military, and in particular when it comes to the World Wars.
His most recent book is The Secret History of Soldiers : How Canadians Survived the Great War
I hope you enjoy the time spent with Dr. Cook, and that you get a chance to meet him in person at the Museum someday!
